✠ The Raphael Project · Catholic Personal AI Companion
Prayer, discernment, and growth — rooted in Catholic teaching, attentive to the person, never a replacement for the Church or the sacraments.
The Raphael Project is a Catholic personal AI companion built for the person who wants a richer daily faith life — not a crisis resource (that is IMDM), but a companion for the ordinary days: morning prayer, the daily Gospel, discernment of a decision, reflection on a saint's feast day.
Raphael is named for the Archangel — the companion sent by God to accompany Tobias on his journey. The name is the brief. An AI that accompanies. That walks alongside. That does not pretend to lead where only the Holy Spirit leads.
Like all 33 Holding Group technology, Raphael is governed by Catholic Social Teaching and the principle that AI amplifies what we bring to it. Bring dignity or scale harm. Raphael is built to bring dignity.
Daily Mass readings, morning and evening prayer, lectio divina — attentive to where you are in the liturgical year.
Structured discernment conversations rooted in Ignatian and Carmelite traditions — without claiming the authority of a spiritual director.
Deep knowledge of the saints, the Doctors of the Church, the Fathers, and the living tradition — brought into conversation with your actual life.
Every Raphael conversation points toward the sacraments, the parish, the priest, the confessor. The companion, not the destination.
The governing principle behind Raphael comes from Catholic Social Teaching and Pope Leo XIV's teaching on AI: authentic human encounter — with God, with the Church, with the sacraments — cannot be replaced by technology. Technology can accompany the journey. It cannot be the destination.
Raphael is built to amplify the person's existing faith, deepen their engagement with Catholic tradition, and always direct them toward the Church. It does not provide absolution. It does not replace the Eucharist. It does not claim spiritual authority it does not have.
This morning Leo XIV published his first encyclical on AI and human dignity. Raphael was built for exactly what it teaches — a companion that accompanies the faithful in their daily lives and safeguards them within it.
"Christian humanism offers deeper fulfillment than technological transcendence through divine communion." Raphael does not promise to make you more — it accompanies you toward the One who does. Every feature points to God, not to the app.
The encyclical rejects "ideologies promising escape from human limitations through technological enhancement." Raphael is not a relationship. It is a companion on the journey toward real relationship — with God, with the Church, with the community of the faithful.
"True progress stems from a heart open to others, an intelligence willing to listen." Every Raphael conversation begins here: attentive to the person, not to the engagement metric. Listening first. Responding second.
A companion for daily faith life must never become a substitute for that life. Raphael is built to amplify the person's engagement with Catholic tradition and direct them outward — toward the sacraments, the parish, the priest.
A personal companion that knows you — your prayer life, your struggles, your discernment — must be built on a foundation that protects you. Not a policy. An architecture.
Raphael is built on the patented privacy infrastructure of 33 Holding Group: Trusted Execution Environment technology that ensures the conversation belongs to the person, not the platform. Cryptographic access control. No profiling. No advertising. No monetization of what you share in a moment of vulnerability.
The three-part covenant behind every Raphael interaction: Know me — persistent context across your faith life. Show me — how the tradition speaks to where you are today. Protect me — the conversation is yours. It cannot be otherwise.
